Tammy Linteau, 49, of 418 Willard Avenue, was served with an arrest warrant Oct. 17 charging her with one count of first-degree sexual assault. The warrant for Linteau’s arrest was unsealed by court officials Thursday. The young woman told a clinician in April of 2015 that Linteau had taken her pants off and fondled her in 2008 when she was 11 years old. The young woman said she had never told anyone of the abuse until she was in a psychiatric program at St. Francis Hospital where she felt safe. The young woman believed Linteau was high on cocaine when the incident happened. The young woman’s sister told investigators that she saw Linteau playing with a young boy and she appeared to be focusing on touching the child’s groin. The sister also said she believed Linteau was high on drugs at the time. When the boy was interviewed by state Department of Children and Family staff, he denied being inappropriately touched by Linteau. Police requested an interview with Linteau in May but she eventually declined to talk to detectives. Tammy Linteau, 49, is accused by two juveniles of touching them inappropriately while they were living with her in 2008. inRead invented by Teads ADVERTISING In April 2015, one of the juvenile victims reported to a worker in St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center's Comprehensive Adolescent Psychiatric Services unit that Linteau had taken off her pants and touched her intimate areas when she was 10 or 11 years old, according to the affidavit for Linteau's arrest. The juvenile said the incident was several years ago and occurred while she lived with Linteau and her stepfather, the affidavit says. The victim has been living with her father since the age of 12 or 13, it says. In July, as part of a Newington police investigation, the juvenile victim's sister, "Jane Doe 2" was interviewed and reported a similar incident at the same time that involved Linteau and her then 12-year-old brother, the affidavit says. The affidavit says that Jane Doe 2 saw Linteau on the couch with the boy, poking and pinching him, the affidavit says.
