it's hard to tell what is 'in stock' in your specific area. do you mean immediate purchase, or in stock at online gunstores like palmetto that can ship to FFL dealers? though i think a lot of those online stores are slammed right now and have backlogs.

before the panic-buying the consensus for a lower-end ($500-$550 or so) AR was probably the S&W MP Sport II with the flip-up magpul sights pre-installed. this little dooder:https://www.sportsmansoutdoorsuperstore.com/prodimages/38550-DEFAULT-l.jpg
they WERE being sold for $525 or so on average, which was a decent deal for its quality. not sure about now.
