Police arrest Brandon Ambrose vandal of statue #BlackCriminalityMatters

On July 4 around 5:30 a.m., police were called to City Hall and found the head of the Christopher Columbus statue was broken off and on the ground. Police obtained surveillance video that showed a suspect hitting the head of the statue with an unknown object before leaving. Several minutes later, the suspect returned, climbed up the statue, and struck the head several more times until it fell off. Police noticed the nose was missing from the head. The suspect ran off and didn’t return. Detectives later found that someone was trying to sell the broken off nose from the statue. Police determined the suspect to be 22-year-old Brandon Ambrose of Port Chester, NY. Ambrose turned himself into police on Thursday. Houston area #BlackLivesMatter supporter Monica Foy took to Twitter to insist that slain Sheriff’s Deputy Darren Goforth deserved to be executed. Foy posted yesterday morning she couldn’t believe “so many people care about a dead cop and NO ONE has thought to ask what he did to deserve it.” She also posted he had “creepy perv eyes.” Foy’s Twitter account has now been deleted.

Last night she was arrested by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office for an open assault causing bodily injury warrant from Harris County.

She was released on a $10,000 bond about 3am. It was September 9, 2011 that she assaulted a male co-worker. Harris County Precinct 4 Constables filed the charges and a warrant was issued but she was never arrested. Monica Michelle Foy
