YLS made a mistake in admitting Elizabeth Wurtzel.

Date: March 30th, 2015 2:29 AM
Author: :;:,.,:..,,,.;,

Not only was her 160 LSAT horrendous, but her claim to fame, Prozac Nation (1994), was not a first-rate memoir. The 2001 film adaptation starring Christina Ricci was exceptionally bad.

If I wanted to read about some insecure college whore battling depression whilst taking fluoxetine, my interest would be better served from reading Duke pornstar Belle Knox's Twitter. After all, unlike Prozac Nation (1994), Belle Knox's tweets guide the reader toward a lucid transcendentalism--an idealized version of the world. For instance, her January 8, 2015 tweet, "Just got fucked at the college bookstore in the not fun way" reveals Knox's cognitive dissonance. On the one hand, her lascivious desire to get forcibly penetrated without her consent. And on the other hand, her known stance on sexual assault as"problematic" and "NOT OKAY." In an idealized version of the world--one without contradiction--her tweet would not be nonsensical.

Wurtzel failed the bar on her first try. She passed after two years of study. She got hired as a biglawyer and worked for about two years but no longer practices law. Now she spends her time applying her YLS JD writing proposals in favor of eliminating bar exams.

Honestly, I wouldn't want a girl that appreciates Olive Garden

Date: March 29th, 2015 9:24 PM
Author: Roland

We were talking about this the other night with a group of friends. I obviously didn't mention Olive Garden but this chick in our group (admittedly a lawyer) told me that women want "Fine wine, tall men, Delicious cuisine, and a great time."

At first it came across as cunty but then I read that Olive Garden thread this morning. A woman that would appreciate Olive Garden is undesirable for obvious reason. But here are some:

1. She obviously prole and you'll have dumb prole kids

2. She's obviously dumb bc she doesn't know/care how bad it is for you.

3. She's ugly because a decent looking chicks would have chads lined up to take her out to a decent place.

4. If she eats that shit, she'll obviously blow up eventually.

5. She has low class tastes and upbringing if she had to eat that shit growing up.

6. Her parents obviously didn't work hard enough to drill the "want better" theme into her life. Desirable women know their worth and demand better than Olive Garden. Therefore, shes unlikely to be educated and/or sophisticated.

Brown University creates literal Safe Space for whiny shitlibs

Date: March 23rd, 2015 11:40 AM
Author: animeboi

"The safe space, Ms. Byron explained, was intended to give people who might find comments “troubling” or “triggering,” a place to recuperate. The room was equipped with cookies, coloring books, bubbles, Play-Doh, calming music, pillows, blankets and a video of frolicking puppies, as well as students and staff members trained to deal with trauma. Emma Hall, a junior, rape survivor and “sexual assault peer educator” who helped set up the room and worked in it during the debate, estimates that a couple of dozen people used it. At one point she went to the lecture hall — it was packed — but after a while, she had to return to the safe space. “I was feeling bombarded by a lot of viewpoints that really go against my dearly and closely held beliefs,” Ms. Hall said."

That Harper's article inspired me and I haven't eaten anything for the past three days and only about 3k calories in the past seven. Obviously it appears to be working thus far, but I'm wondering if there are big hazards I should be aware of before I try going a week or more without food. Currently I'm just taking a multivitamin.

I'm not a superfat, btw, only about 5'11 and 200.
